Festival News: TRUCK FESTIVAL announces JAMIE T, WET LEG, THE STREETS, IDLES

Last year’s TRUCK Festival left quite the impression, thanks to an organisation running a tight ship and a fantastic line-up bringing the party to the fields of Oxfordshire. So when we heard they were announcing this year’s first wave of TRUCK Fest artists, we couldn’t wait to discover who we’ll be dancing along to this July!

The Kooks, Declan McKenna, Yard Act, Holly Humberstone, Sea Girls, Black Honey and Peace are all among the first few names that have been confirmed to be playing the alternative music festival. An already fantastically diverse programme in the sense of genre and inclusivity. The programmers of TRUCK Festival have clearly gone all out - once again. With ‘new name’ Soft Play, previously punk duo Slaves, being on the line-up as well, our day has already been made. Fast-rising acts Fat Dog, Lime Garden and Scottish songstress Katie Gregson-Macleod are also among the ones performing the festival this summer. The festival and the line-up for its upcoming line-up are bursting with character and cover acts for all of us, even those with eclectic tastes.

They have gathered a line-up of established, well-known and emerging names, offering a stage to artists of all ranks and genres! Leading the charge as one of the four headliners is indie poet Jamie T, other headliners include ‘Chaise Longue’-hit creators Wet Leg who supported Harry Styles at his arena tour last year. A personal highlight of the festival will be legendary genre-leading group The Streets led by Mike Skinner. And then there’s IDLES, do we need to say more? Their visceral and punching punk tracks will be echoing across the fields of Oxfordshire for days!

On the festival highlighting the guitar rock and pop greats, Head Of Marketing Sam Harris said: “It’s that time again! When we sit down to plan TRUCK every year, we treat the weekend like the ultimate summer party - complete with friends, amazing moments and the artists we love all in one place. To welcome long-awaited headliners like Jamie T and The Streets to Hill Farms is a true honour, whilst having Wet Leg headline their very first festival with us is going to make for a very special weekend.” We couldn’t have said it any better, already feeling the goosebumps creeping up our arms, seeing the festival field ahead of us while driving up the car park, in the anticipation of seeing our favourite and yet-to-become favourites on and in the festival fields where we all celebrate live music as one!

TRUCK Festival will be taking place from the 25th until the 28th of July at Hill Farm in Oxfordshire and pre-sale tickets are going on sale from Thursday the 25th of January! Weekend tickets are starting from just £140, quite the deal for such a diverse and musical line-up.
