Wunderhorse - 'MIdas'
Wunderhorse release heavily anticipated single, ‘Midas’, after a tremendous reception at live shows.
The group have relentlessly impressed listeners in recent times. Their formidable live shows have played a significant role in this, with audiences being captivated by the incredible talents of the band. For some time now, Wunderhorse have performed a previously unreleased number that has had people talking… a lot.
‘Midas’ is the song in question, and gig-goers have called for the track to be released non-stop since it became a staple in the Wunderhorse set-list.
With news of the track’s release date being welcomed with open arms, fans of the band waited eagerly to finally hear a studio-version of the track, and they would not be disappointed.
Kicking off with a striking sequence of crunchy guitar chords, the song wastes no time, and all band members are involved from the get-go.
Front-man Jacob Slater’s vocals are just as impressive on the single as they are when he performs at live shows. Each chorus he sings is infectious, with his raw voice belting out the title: ‘Midas’. The rest of the group compliment Slater’s striking voice in incredible style, with huge guitar riffs and thudding bass.
At just two-minutes long, ‘Midas’ is a fast-paced reminder of what the band are about. With the single being their first since the release of their debut album ‘Cub’, listeners will now be enticed after the short burst of rock that is ‘Midas’.
The track is accompanied by a music video that is the ultimate blend of eerie and totally unhinged. It depicts a man working- creepily- on his dolls… before flashing to the band themselves who are completely letting loose with the music.
‘Midas’ is the ultimate re-introduction to the world of Wunderhorse. There’s a reason fans were excited about this one before it came out, and now they will be ecstatic.
