The Band Explains: Anteros - 'Anteros'. (Video)

Who:
London trio Anteros  is made up of Laura Hayden, Joshua Rumble and James Flannigan. Fun fact: - well, it was fun for us anyway - the band take their name from the statue of Anteros (commonly known as Eros, despite being created as an image of his twin brother, Anteros) which sits on top of the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain in London's Picadilly Circus.

About The Track: 'Anteros' is the band's self-titled debut single, taken from their upcoming debut EP. This is an enchanting first offering that shimmers against a shadowy yet uplifting backdrop of sound. 'Anteros' is a powerful track, masterful in its execution. It is a single with a sense of purpose that has its own heartbeat and identity. There is a triumphant sense of acceptance in its hooks and stadium-style climax which  synch and build alongside its listeners feelings throughout.

The Band Explains: "The track 'Anteros' is about us coming to terms with moving to London. Although it’s big and busy, it can be a confusing and lonely city. The whole EP is about us coming to grasp with growing-up and balancing love with fears, dreams and ambitions.

The video was directed by Gemma Yin Taylor in her studio in London. We'd been chatting to a few directors for almost a month before we met Gemma. Being our first proper video and our self-titled track, we wanted something that would describe us. Gemma sent in her treatment under the title "Obscured by Nature". As I scrolled through all of the moodboards & illustrations I realised she was the perfect fit. We wanted to create chaos of images mixed with illustrations- Imagination VS Reality with Space, Earth, Flora, Fauna, Minerals- and everything in between. This marks creation, the start." - Laura Hayden
