About The Track: 'Beverley' is the first single taken from new album ‘A Life Unlimited’ which has just been released today (7th August). The track features US soul singer Nolan Porter, and is a warm offering with smooth harmonies, vibrant organs, cheerful brass, and just the right balance of funk and casualness to not leave the listener feeling overwhelmed. This is wind down music with great vibes.
The Band Explains: "We were approached by Cass Pennant to write a title song for his new project and film Beverley. The film is based in Leicester in the 80's and tells the story of a young mixed race girl growing up during a time of racial tension and centres around her love of the two tone movement. It was something we could really get our teeth into and ultimately started the writing process off for the new album 'A Life Unlimited'. The film is directed by talented up and coming director Alex Thomas and he was kind enough to send over some rushes from the film that our long time video collaborator Lee Cogswell cut around myself (Neil Jones) singing in one of the locations where Beverley was filmed. We wanted the video to tell the songs story."
