Single Review: Dive In - 'Change In The Weather'.

Dive In have produced a late entry for “feel good song of the summer”. 'Change In The Weather', with its rocking bassline and breezy vocal line conjures images of euphoric festival-goers bouncing along on a Sunday afternoon in field. Popping this on in the throes of winter will no doubt transport you back to a much warmer setting.

Following on from the much acclaimed success of their debut EP 'Eighteen' Dive In have come back in top form, announcing this as the title track of their forthcoming EP. This is pop music with a bang. When the chorus drops it’s almost impossible not to bop your head; the drums and bassline pumping the track along while the guitar and synths pick out the melody. Catchy, energetic and, most of all, fun. It’s hard not to be excited by what’s to come from Dive In.

This feel good mood is redoubled by the lyrics. As the band explains, this song is about the idea of hope, and of finally getting over that bump in the road.

The EP is not set for release until 9th November, so you’ll have to stick this record on repeat until then, as if the anticipation wasn’t high enough already. Alternatively, catch them at one of their live shows up and down the UK with Twin Atlantic and Coasts throughout October.
