Single Review: Totem - 'Comfortable'.
Over the past month or so NYC based singer songwriter and producer TOTEM has been unveiling versatile, rnb/ alternative pop influenced tracks from his sophomore EP, "Echoes" set to drop on October 9th. 'Comfortable' is a sleek track with flawless production that experiments with numerous tones, moods and textures. It's the kind of song that would happily hold its own amongst any mainstream pop charts and although it shares many familiarities with contemporaries of this style of music, Totem still manages to stamp it as his own.
'Comfortable' follows on from tracks 'Unrequited' - a beautiful, melancholic, ballad that leaves so much room for vocal focus yet still manages to build momentum and 'All Falls Down' our personal favourite that makes us wonder if the likes of Toto may have influenced its 80s style, bouncy electronics.
