Single Review: Sara Hartman - 'Monster Lead Me Home'.
Sara Hartman’s new single, ‘Monster Lead Me Home’, is a catchy pop song with deep sentiment that doesn’t detract from the listener’s ability to relate. Not yet out of her teens, Hartman has captured an insightful glance into the idea of moving to a new place, far from what you have known.
The sparse instrumental that guides you in gives Sara’s pretty vocal line room to capture your attention from the outset. The chorus is catchy in its simplicity, without sounding lacking. The light and shade have been utilised well by the bass, piano, and assorted synth and vocal noises. All of this is underpinned by a toe-tapping beat. Collectively, these sounds pull together to create an all-round feel-good pop song.
From a production perspective, someone has obviously taken a lot of interest in Sara Hartman, as is reflected in the quality of the recording – and rightly so. This is an artist I can't wait to hear a lot more from in the near future
