Single Review: Dead Belles - 'This Machine's Electric'
Having been on the scene for well over a year, gigging and working to perfect their sound, South East London trio Dead Belles have finally treated us to a taster of what's to come from their debut EP, in the form of their debut single, 'This Machine's Electric'.
'This Machine's Electric' screams Arctic Monkeys vs Kasabian; a raucous reminder of the racket that once sent us into early noughies rock revival overdrive. In an anything-but-charming fashion these guys are catapulting to attention with a fuzzy and distorted, yet tight and professional sound that's confident, raw, brash and indicative of the start of something really special.
Having already featured on the likes of Hoxton FM, Ispwich Radio and BBC Introducing Kent, Dead Belles also travelled to Amsterdam in October 2015 to play Waterfall Festival. This year will see Dead Belles host their single launch party at The Bunker, Deptford on March 4th, then just over a month later on April 16th they will be celebrating their EP Launch at The George Tavern, Shadwell, shortly to be followed by a UK tour. So keep your diaries free, these guys aren't to be missed!
