Band To Check Out: Victors - 'Two Hearts' (Single)

Some songs evoke memories and  before you know it become the perfect soundtrack to specific moments in your life.

Victors' 'Two Hearts' opens with easy-listening British seaside vibes. It's all seagulls, blue skies, dripping ice creams, gleaming (cold) seas, pier arcades and sandy/ pebble-dodging toes. But thankfully (for me at least) unlike many other bands of this vein, the beach resort, synth melody, peers through but does not take precedence throughout the entirety of the track.

Leeds Quartet Victors are happy to play around a bit, adding layers of guitar funk, and some retro 80's gleam to their polished indie pop track, climaxing into a groove-laden stadium-style instrumental break before shimmering back into a heavier but still bubbly, breezy structure.

Whether you're burger chomping, beer drinking, field dwelling, bbq having, festival going, beach bathing, just hanging out - 'Two Hearts' makes for a perfect companion this summer.
