The Artist Explains: Daniel Feels - 'Parachute' (Video)

NYC artist and producer Daniel Feels speaks to us about his latest soulful synth odyssey song & video, "Parachute" - the final instalment of  his Distractions, pt. I EP out now, and the first of several new tracks he'll be releasing this summer.

The Artist Explains:
How was the video made?
It's a collage of archived footage I found around the internet.

How do these specific clips compliment the song?
Writing the song, I kept seeing a vessel creeping ever closer to a planet. The string/synth melody came first, and I wanted to maintain the ominous pulling sensation it creates, as if you've been hypnotized or caught in a tractor beam. Hopefully, the visuals accomplish this as well.

Any behind the scenes stories?
Um, I watched 2001: Space Odyssey again and got on my computer. Pretty wild.

Tell us about the ideas/ themes/ imagery used?
The endless search for meaning and the power of love.

What is the message the video is trying to convey?

Love is the most powerful force in the universe.
