The Band Explains: Lepers and Crooks - 'LET YOU GO' (Video)

Sydney based rock 5 piece Lepers and Crooks talk to us about their single and music video, ‘LET YOU GO’, the first track to drop from their new EP 'The Heathen Circus'.

The Band Explains:
Where was the video filmed?
We used various locations in Sydney, majority of it was shot where we live, in Glebe.

How does the video compliment the song?
The song is fast and frantic, we thought a wild goose chase would suit the bill.

Any behind the scenes stories?
Just as we shut the lights off in the park after we'd shot all the noisey live footage of the band we were approached by two undercover cops, we were worried as we had no permission or permit or anything, loud mouth that Sam our singer is didn't hesitate telling them we were shooting a video for our band Lepers & Crooks and we all cringed thinking we were outed for good until one of the coppers chirped up: 'oh yeah? I love you guys!'

Tell us about the ideas/ themes/ imagery used?
We originally started as wanting a Bonnie and Clyde/Gangster story but once everyone got into their character it kind of flowed from there - love, deceit in the underworld and generosity in the everyday.

What is the message the video is trying to convey?
It's fun, you can't take yourself too seriously, sometimes the losers can win.
