The Duo Explains: Ardyn - 'The Valley' (Video)

Brit brother and sister duo Ardyn (Rob and Katy Pearson), unveil the video for their new song 'The Valley' filmed in Dartmoor in an RV. We shoot some questions over to the duo to find out more about the ideas behind the making of the video.
'The Valley' is the tantalizing title track taken from the duo's new 4-track EP, out now via Aesop.

The Duo Explains:
Where was the video filmed?
It was filmed in Dartmoor National Park.

For you, does the video’s theme mirror the song in any way?
Yes, definitely. Dartmoor is very near to where we actually wrote the song so I feel it definitely links to the song.

Any interesting behind the scenes stories?
Katy's almost had to give a baby horse the Heimlich maneuver, after it started choking on an apple, but it's still alive today.

Tell us about the ideas/ themes/ imagery used?
The video portrays the search everyone goes through to find contentment in their lives. I think also the older I get the less time I have to spend in nature, and I notice as soon as I am back at home in the countryside I feel so much calmer. So for me, the video conveys reconnecting with the natural world and ourselves.

Was there a message or theme you as artists were trying to convey?
I think we wanted to convey a message that there is still time to reconnect and just sing about a bloody stunning view we had the pleasure of seeing one day.
