Free Download: Belmont - 'Pools' (Single)
Should you wish to do an internet search on the elusive act that is Belmont, I hope your results are more fruitful than mine. The way of promoting this new duo (at least, that is what their Soundcloud page currently says) has been to let the music speak for itself, and ironically 'Pools' has a whole lot to say for an instrumental piece.
The electronics are snappy, atmospheric and elemental and as expected from the name, sonically tap into the aesthetics of water during the piece. However, it is the original guitar licks that really captured my imagination, bringing an additional wealth of bluesy funk, ambience and intrigue to the track.
