Get Inuit - ‘Barbiturates’ (Single)

Kent 4 piece Get Inuit reveal their new single 'Barbiturates' and upon first play, even my dog awoke from his sleep to twist his head sideways and admire it.

I've followed the band for sometime now, previous tracks such as 'Mean Heart' and ' I Am The Hot Air' have been sending most live crowds into a sweaty frenzy all summer long and this new single will continue to get you moving throughout the cold winter months. Scratchy, pulsing and intentionally stop-start, adrenaline fuelled build-ups enable 'Barbiturates' to continuously erupt throughout its four minutes, littered with delicate breaks in between.

Frontman Jamie Glass, who's vocals take me back to the days of Wheatus with a somewhat Vampire Weekend twist thrown in for good measure, describes he “wanted to write a song that could contain a theatrical contrast of ferocious guitars and silence. Skin-crawling screams and pitiful whispers. Manic episodes and tranquility.” With a description like that why wouldn't you check these guys out?!

After a successful 2016, touring with the likes of Slaves, Vant and The Magic Gang, Get Inuit will be headlining The Lexington on January 25th before heading back out on the road with Spring King throughout February.
