Greyface - 'If You Want' (Single)
LA three piece Greyface return with dreamy new single 'If You Want'.
Following on from their previous single 'Delilah', 'If You Want' is the second single from the band's debut album, "Greyola".
With the rise of bands such as Tame Impala and Temples, it's no surprise to see and hear more acts heading into the world of reverb-fuelled pop. Greyface have that Tame Impala feel, with the added grit of a tone that wouldn't sound out of place on an Interpol record.
Recorded by Tom Syrowski (Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen), 'If You Want' is an atmospheric emotional rollercoaster. Lead singer Jutty expresses his desire for "one more night" with that special someone before preaching "what does it matter" to any excuse she may have for leaving.
Stick on some headphones, kick back and imagine yourself driving along the West Coast of America in an open top Cadillac. Sun on your face and wind blowing through your hair, with 'If You Want' on full blast. It may only be February but I can happily put this up there with one of my favourite tracks so far this year.
