Fröst – 'Keratin' (Single)

Electronic duo Fröst unveils spiralling new single, 'Keratin', the lead track taken from their forthcoming 4-track EP.

If you haven’t clocked this group on your radar, then you should. Fröst is a small super-group collaboration between Franco-Swedish sound artist Johanna Bramli, who’s vocalist for Stereolab offshoot Imitation Electric Piano) and Fujiya & Miyagi’s synth player and producer Steve Lewis. With their talents their individual sounds they create a hypnotic blend of analogue synthesizer swells and sporadic percussion tracks that all present within subtle pop structures.

The follow up ‘Keratin’ is the second Fröst single released under the emerging record label Lost Room Records. Blending 80's pop with ethereal and vocoded vocals against electronic beats, think Radiohead and a more contemporary Kraftwerk. ‘Keratin’ is the lead track from a forthcoming new 4 track EP due for release in May.

The Brighton duo are not like your typical electronic-pop group, from their past two single releases they only seem to break free from pop boundaries. ‘Keratin’ embodies poignant lyrics that focus on sensations from our body and skin and the evolving instrumental seems to build nicely with the lyrics.
