Live Review - Asking Alexandria - Cardiff Great Hall, 11/04/2017

We caught British Metallers Asking Alexandria on the last U.K. date of their tour at Cardiff’s Great Hall, as they supported Parkway Drive, for a night of circle pits crowd surfing and metalcore at its best.

Danny (Warsnop) being back on stage with Asking Alexandria just seems right which appears to be a shared view throughout the venue. Opening up with “Welcome” from their 2011 release the British metallers play a great set of tracks from their debut album up to “From Death To Destiny.”

Heavy bass tones pummels fans as Danny’s voice fills the venue along with the crowd who sing along word for word. The chemistry between the band is as good as ever showing that there is no love loss between the guys. Not having the longest set of the night means that there is little interaction with the crowd, this doesn’t seem to bother the die-hard Asking devotees as screams fill the hall with each song that’s played.

“Moving On” is always a perfect chance to show that it’s not all growls down the mic for Danny as he brings out a guitar and proves that Asking Alexandria has a mellow side. Finishing off with two of their most popular songs “Not The American Average” and “The Final Episode” see’s the venue well and truly hyped up and not ready to see the end of the British Boys, sadly though that time has come and Asking Alexandria depart with screams and applause.
