Slam Dunk Festival Underdogs

With Slam Dunk Festival just over a month away, the festival recently announced stage times and their secret headliner: Bury Tomorrow. The great thing about this weekend of music is not just about the big acts, it is also a place where new bands shine. Many big names have risen from this festival, and if you are wondering who it might be this year, check out our suggestions below.

Grumble Bee
We have been a fan of this guy for ages, singer song writer Jack Bennett, otherwise known as Grumble Bee has been putting the hard graft in for a while now. But this summer sees his name appearing on a number of festival line ups, and we recon by the end of it all he will be the one everyone is talking about. His musical talents are beyond words, he takes you on an emotional journey every time he performs, so make sure you catch him playing an acoustic set on the Uprawr Stage.

Vukovi
We recently caught Vukovi on the London date of their recent headline tour, and the commitment this band puts in their performance for their fans is two hundred percent. If they bring this to Slam Dunk, they are going to bring the roof down. Their new song 'Weirdo' is out now, and you can catch them on the Rocksound Breakout Stage.

Madina Lake
This year at Slam Dunk brings the return of Madina Lake, and this performance is going to be emotional one. The band play the Impericon Stage this year, so it might be best to get in there early, as we suspect this will be a busy set!

Black Foxxes
We finish our list on this band, who have been secretly on the tip of everyone's tongue for ages now, fresh off a support slot with You Me At Six. Their performances are soulfully gritty and the adventure they take you on, is intense. Every year there is a band everyone is blown away by, we feel that this year, it will be Black Foxxes. Grab the opportunity to see their set on the Key Club Stage.
