Introducing: Native Culture - 'Too Soon//Too Late' (Single)
Florida-based indie rock outfit Native Culture shares 'Too Soon//Too Late' taken from their upcoming debut EP 'Reverie'
Comprised of members from Scotland, Puerto Rico, and India, Florida-based outfit Native Culture find common ground through their music which transcends the themes universally felt by then human condition. Native Culture create songs about love, loss, change, self doubt, feeling incomplete, life's lows with the message that you're not alone.
'Too Soon// Too Late' is an uptempo and anthemic guitar-driven confessional addressing, "the one that got away". Impassioned and energetic, 'Too Soon // Too Late' is a dynamic, beautifully layered track that ranges from high intensity, cathartic indie rock arrangements that thrash and pound (without losing their melodic appeal) to brooding and suspenseful moments of climatic contemplation.
Dave Hoggs vocal is clean and compelling but gritty enough to get it that little bit of an alternative rock edge. The band fade the track out with a really fun pop punk acapella that cements that whole feeling of solidarity the band want to represent. In terms of contemporaries, Native Culture remind me a lot of The Gaslight Anthem if they were to team up with Enter Shikari. This is indie/alt rock with integrity.
On the track the band say: "'Too Soon//Too Late' is from our debut EP, 'Reverie' available this Friday (8th September). Reverie is the state of being lost in one's thoughts or a daydream. The single and album represent just that in a sense of fresh nostalgia– a longing for days gone by, of young love, of endless summer. Wherever your mind wanders, we hope these songs meet you there."
