Artist of the Week #0022: Bryde

This week's Artist of the Week is long term favorite of ours Bryde, who has released her new single 'Desire' today, a song that explores the self-deception of lust. It sees Bryde go down a more darker route compared to previous singles 'Honey' and 'Wouldn't That Make You Feel Good'.

'"Desire’ is about lust, our need for instant gratification, about desire’s addictive qualities and how they can make us behave. I was inspired both by the way people have treated me and how I’ve treated others and how I’ve become unrecognisable to myself in the past just to appeal to this side of someone else’s personality.”

'Desire', like every Bryde song, makes you challenge and explore yourself as a listener, with its lyrical content and its strange structure. Pitched between the standard guitar and a bass, the song is performed on an electric baritone guitar, giving it that dark riff that its consistent throughout.

If you are not in love with Bryde already, then this song will certainly make you.
