Introducing: The Spitfires

Let us introduce you to Watford band, The Spitfires, drawing influences from the old school vibes of the Specials and Madness, by cresting their own spin on the two-tone genre with their upbeat laddish culture themed songs.

The band will be  releasing their new single, 'Over and Over Again' via Leeds record label, Hatch Records, which will be coming out on a 7" vinyl along with a headline launch show at London's famous venue The Borderline.

Front man Billy Sullivan comments on the track, “The lyrics are about being on a night out in some shitty club and the more you drink the more miserable you become. That thing of watching your mates have a good time when all you can think about is how bored you are with your own situation. Whether it be your job, where you live or your relationship. And how you can predict in 6 months down the line you'll be back in the same club, same time, feeling the same thing.”

The band recently added more dimensions to their sound, by adding Keys player, George Moorhouse, to the band. “We recently had George [keys] join the band and his ability and playing style has added something different. For me personally it's the most 'complete' song I've written and we've released to date."

The band have been working hard on their craft for a number of years now, with two albums under the belt despite now mainstream industry support, it has manage to turn them into one of the underground music scenes best kept secrets. With everyone having something to say about them.

‘Over and Over Again’ is released 15th December 2017 on Hatch Records
