The Artist Explains: Miya Folick - 'Give It To Me'

LA-based artist  Miya Folick talks to us about the exhilarating video for her new EP's title track, 'Give It To Me' .
Directed by Eva Michon, the visuals are shot entirely on a rollercoaster, reflecting the track's torrid  emotions as 'Give It To Me' juxtaposes slow burning, slow-building moments of intense intimacy with  blistering, unrestrained, release.

Miya Folick Explains
Where was the video for 'Give It To Me' filmed?
Belmont Park, San Diego.

How does the video compliment the song?
For me it gives a physical, visceral feeling that enhances the song.

Any behind the scenes stories?
There was a bit of puke involved.

Could you tell us about the ideas/ themes/ imagery used?
Eva, the director, came to me with the rollercoaster idea. I think explaining it ruins the "joke" a bit. Not that it's a joke but it take the form of a joke in that the effect of the video is wrapped up in the thing itself. Explaining it takes that magic away.

What do you hope people take away from watching the vid?
I hope they feel something.
