NEWS: Handmade Festival Announces First Wave of Bands

Handmade Festival returns to Leicester this May as it takes over the O2 Academy for a day of music and art. The line up has be hand picked and they have certainly selected some of the finest rising bands of the music scene at the moment.

Speaking about this year’s festival, co-organiser John Helps, says “This year’s line-up is a big step up for Handmade and an important one for us to take. We want this year’s festival to challenge people’s expectations of what Handmade can be and what we can do with a “DIY” city festival. We hope people are just as excited about it as we are.”

This year sees the festival pushing itself into the big leagues while also still holding onto that DIY vibe that has led to it's previous success. Pulling in indie-powerhouse Circa Waves as main headliners, along with Idles who recently supported the Foo Fighters at their massive show at the O2. And lets not forget Dinosaur Pile Up, their recent tour saw a number of venues spin on the axis!

With this only being the start of the announcements for the festival, they have certainly got our attention!

Handmade Festival takes place on the 5th & 6th May 2018.

Tickets are being released in price tiers starting start at £40, going up a tier as each one sells out. The remaining tiers are as follows: £45, £50. Both the early-bird tickets which were being sold at £25 per ticket, and the 2nd tier which were been sold at £35 have already sold out.
