ArcTanGent Festival announces its first set of bands
With all these festival announcements lately, you would have thought we’d be coming to the end of the first wave of bands announced, but nope festivals are still coming in thick and fast with outstanding line-ups, and ArcTangent are no exception to that.
Taking place in Bristol in mid-August, it’s looking like it may be one of the drier and sunnier festivals this year. It will also be a festival full of firsts; it will be the first year the festival hosts a headlining band on the main stage on Thursday. The headlining band that day And So I Watch You From Afar, will be playing their newest album in full for the first time, and finally, instrumental math rock band Giraffe? Giraffe! will be playing their first ever European show. So already, the festival is sounding like one to get excited about.
Alongside the headliners, the announcement brings thirteen other acts to Fernhill Farm. Alongside And So I Watch You From Afar headlining the main stage on Thursday, indie record labels Big Scary Monster and Holy Roar will be doing a Thursday takeover over on the PX3 and Yohkai stages, bringing you some of the best bands in the UK, so keep your eyes peeled for future announcements for their full Thursday line up.
On the main stage, you’ll be able to catch emotional acts from both Pianos Become the Teeth and American emo band Foxing, with more bands to be announced very soon performing across the weekend.
Gallops will also be taking part in the festival by performing a full band set at the festivals silent disco. This is something quite unique, and the band will be live remixing their tracks alongside warped visuals, so it’s sure to be a fun evening. Rolo Tamassi will also be coming back to the festival, and having already played in previous years, they've clearly been a big hit.
Other bands announced include: Alpha Male Tea Party, Jamie Lenman, Talons, Svalbard, Gulfer, Body Hound and GUG.
