R&B singer/songwriter 6LACK is back with his first new music of 2018, a special Valentine’s Day single ‘Cutting Ties’! The song itself is filled with classic booming hip hop drums and calming synths, matched with 6LACK’s illustrious vocals it’s the perfect combo. Coming out on Valentine’s Day is a slight juxtaposition as the song considers the deep relationships we build but are sometimes forced to end; the lyrics “I’ll tell you what you want to know, your probably better on your own” show that he knows he will ruin the relationship so she may as well leave now.

This new single shows off what we can expect to hear from future releases, 2018 looks to be a big year for 6LACK with festival appearances across the globe and not to mention more anxiously-awaited music.
