Listen: Grace Carter - 'Silhouette'

Grace Carter unveils her new emotionally charged single, ‘Silhouette’ alongside the announcement of her support of Rag’n’Bone Man on his European and UK tour.

The track has been delicately stripped back and accompanied only by a piano, which provides an incredible background for lyrics dealing with love, loss and unrequited feelings. Grace’s elegant voice with a collection of melismas makes for an evocative song to pluck on your heartstrings.

The video complements the beautifully written track perfectly as it centres around a slightly silhouetted image of Grace and a pianist. Grace’s eye contact with the camera and the audience at certain points is somewhat haunting and so direct that at points I feel guilty for her heartbreak.

Her debut EP is due for release this spring with 2018 looking to be Grace Carter’s breakout year.
