The Great Escape is bigger and better!

It will soon be upon us! That same time each year where we all get super excited! And no we are not talking about Easter! What we are in fact talking about is The Great Escape, the home of new music! And this week it announced some major big plans for the Brighton based festival.

The Great Escape always takes over a number of venues across Brighton for the one weekend in May, however this year sees them taking over the beach, with their very own festival camp on the seafront. Including a 2,000 capacity venue called 'The Beach'.

Rory Bett, MAMA Festivals CEO said: “With demand and drive for new music and an ever-expanding festival, creating our first, very own festival site on the beach is the most exciting news in TGE’s history and we couldn’t have a more perfect spot than right on the seafront. The Beach will become a magnet for music lovers during the festival and we can’t wait to open the doors.

With line ups on the site being curated by the likes of label heavyweights Island Records, Dr Martens and AWAL, you just know we are in for something special.

On top of all of that, the festival announced a further eighty acts for its already fantastic line up. Adding the likes of Tom Grennan, Nifuler Yanya, Superorganism and Tom Tripp.
