Festival News: Y Not? Announce First Line Up Set For 2018 Festival
Festival season is fastly approaching and the excitement begins, why you ask? Well ‘Y NOT?’… Literally.
Y NOT? Festival is back this July 2018 for another weekend of music madness. It will run July 26th – 29th and from what we’ve seen so far, it’s one heck of a line up. There’s Download, there’s Wireless and many more but none with a line up like Y NOT?
We attended Y NOT? last year where the weather was not exactly on our side which resulted in directors agreeing to cancel the festivities on the Sunday morning, leaving many fans stranded with no resources until the Monday. Disappointment and agitation flowed in the field and although the weather certainly brought a downer to the festival, we made the most of it. Organization and planning certainly wasn’t at its best.
But fear not, Y NOT? is back this year and from a sold out weekend in 2016 and a jam packed 2017 (despite the weather complications), they have now brought us what appears to be its best line up yet which is sure to sell out within an instant. With fourteen stages and acts such as The Libertines, Catfish and The Bottlemen, Jamiroquai, it is sure to be a banging weekend. And as if that wasn’t enough, the one and only Kaiser Chiefs are also scheduled to play at this talk of the town fest. But that’s not all, smaller and newly successful groups are also coming to conquer the weekend, The Amazons, Peace and even The Sherlocks will be making an appearance too.
Our only question is will the weather strike again and will the directors have a more organized event for 2018? Our guess is most certainly, with all the disappointed fans and online rants about the festivals lack in announcements and updates from last year the team will without doubt ensure not to have a repeat of last year.
We say bring on Y NOT? for 2018, with such a unique line up of renown acts and an atmosphere like no other we can’t wait to get down and dirty down at Derbyshire this summer.
