This week's Band of the Week is Yorkshire indie boys, The Indigo Project, who this week released their new single 'As Always', which oozes that classic indie dance-floor stomper from start to finish.

And like every great indie guitar song, the track is about the heart - “A teenage tale of love and loss, As Always is about knowing that someone will always come back to you even if it really isn’t good for you”, states frontman Joe Spink. 'As Always' has that sticky feeling, that sticky feeling that you know is going to be on you for ages, like when The Wombats released 'Lets Dance to Joy Division' or when Arctic Monkeys put out 'When The Sun Goes Down'.

It just stays with you.

The guitar licks on this track you can see being played at late night indie club nights, with many skinny jeans wearing couples coming together for the first time as they jump around the room to it.

Even though The Indigo Project come from an already thriving music scene in Yorkshire, the band have managed to clock up appearances at Reading and Leeds Festival, and Live At Leeds. The band will be heading out on tour in April, and if their sold out home town shows are anything to go by, then you should, no in fact MUST get along to one of these tour dates -

06 Apr – Head of Steam, Newcastle
12 Apr – The Eagle Inn, Manchester
13 Apr – Dingwalls, London
27 Apr – The Parish, Huddersfield
05 May – Live At Leeds

Their single 'As Always' is out now on Spotify and Soundcloud.
