Live Review: Lower Than Atlantis - Concorde 2, Brighton 15/04/2018

Watford boys Lower Than Atlantis returned to the south coast to deliver a wall of fist pumping, head banging anthems.

Opening up on the night were The Faim and Milk Teeth. If ever you're a band on the road looking for two acts to get the crowd going, then take these two with you! Loud and proud, both sent onlookers into a frenzy of sweatiness allowing Lower Than Atlantis to arrive on stage and finish the job.

The band kicked off with hit single 'Had Enough' and rallied through banger after banger including 'Emily', 'Get Over It' and a pleasantly stripped back acoustic rendition of 'Another Sad Song'.

Lead singer Mike Duce jumped from riser to riser not once stopping to take a breath. When it comes to crowd interaction and on stage presence, you'll do well to find many better.

Ending the set with 'Words Don't Come So Easily', the band were of course ushered back on stage to an adoring crowd screaming for one more song. Well the lucky folk got two more with 'English Kids In America' and 'Here We Go' rounding off an electrifying performance.

To top it all off, it wouldn't be a Lower Than Atlantis show without a stage dive and crowd surf. Mike (Duce) didn't disappoint, with fans jumping on top of one another to get a grab of the lead singers shirt. There aren't many occasions in life where physically jumping on others to touch a man's sweaty shirt are deemed acceptable... But here, you were weird if you didn't!"
