Interview: The Faim talk Slam Dunk Festival
With Slam Dunk Festival coming our way at the end of this month, we had a sit down with the lads in The Faim to talk to them about about appearance at the festival.
Are you looking forward to Slam Dunk? We bet you are super excited?
We’re beyond excited for Slam Dunk this year. We can’t wait to see the response to our music especially being so new to the festival scene let alone the UK in general. Countless hours have been spent watching our favourite bands have the time of their lives at Slam Dunk online so it really is a dream come true for us.
What stage are you playing this year? Is there anyone you are looking forward to sharing that stage with?
We’ll be playing on the Rock Sound Breakout stage! Palaye Royale is definitely a band we’re all looking forward to sharing the stage with.
Can we expect anything special for this festival performance?
You can expect the most raw and authentic parts of ourselves being put on display. What you see is what you get and of course lots of new songs from our unreleased debut album that we’re so excited to play!
Have you been to Slam Dunk before? Any tips for first goers?
We’ve actually never been to Slam Dunk before which makes this an even more exciting experience for us. We’ve been to other festivals before and what we’ve learnt is organise a timetable of what bands you want to see with times. It will maximise your whole festival experience. Also bring a portable phone charger!
Slam Dunk is over three locations over the full weekend, thats a lot of road miles to travel, who is on your Slam Dunk playlist to keep you buzzing?
It wouldn’t be a road trip without these tunes:
Lower Than Atlantis - Work For It
Sleeping with Sirens - Better off Dead
Don Broco - Come out to LA
Coldplay - Paradise
Jet - Put your money where your mouth is
Paramore - Ain’t it fun
Good Charlotte - Life Can’t get much better
Shawn Mendes - In My Blood
5 Seconds of Summer - Youngblood Post Malone - Psycho
Maroon 5 - Wait
Is there one band everyone should check out this year at the festival?
We’ve just come off Sleeping with Sirens Australia and NZ tour and their performance and energy is incredible. Definitely worth the watch.
