Interview: Milestones talk Slam Dunk

With Slam Dunk Festival coming our way at the end of this week, we had a sit down with Milestones to talk to them about their appearance at the festival.

Are you looking forward to Slam Dunk? We bet you are super excited?

We cannot wait for it yeah! It’s our first year playing the festival so it’s going to be a pretty crazy experience. We’ve all been going to this festival for years, being on the other side of it all is going to be wild.

What stage are you playing this year? Is there anybody you are looking forward to sharing that stage with?

We’re playing the Rock Sound Breakout Stage! Honestly there’s so many awesome bands sharing the stage for this that it’s hard to narrow it down. We’ll be making an effort to catch as many sets as possible over the weekend!

Can we expect anything special from this festival performance?

Anybody who has been to a Milestones show before will know what we’re like; we’re high energy and love to entertain. We’ve definitely tried to pick the best set possible so we can pack as much energy into this set!

Have you been to Slam Dunk before? Any tips for first goers?

I’ve been for the past 4/5 years I think it is now yeah. The other guys have been too apart from Matt, this is his first time! My advice for first time goers would be to stay hydrated, use ear plugs cause live music all day is going to damage them ears and most importantly have fun! See as many bands as possible cause it truly is an amazing festival to be at.

Slam Dunk is over three locations over the full weekend, thats a lot to travel, who is on your Slam Dunk playlist to keep you buzzing?

It’s going to be a varied playlist with us but we’ll have a bit of Dua Lipa, Counterparts, Go Radio, State Champs, PVRIS and probably a hell of a lot more to keep us going on the drives!

Is there one band everybody should check out this year at the festival?

There can NEVER be just one at Slam Dunk! I’d highly recommend people giving The Faim, Stand Atlantic, Holding Absence & Loathe their time. They’re all great bands that are coming up and doing incredible things. Can guarantee nobody will be disappointed seeing them!
