Reading based music festival (no not that one) Are You Listening? Festival have announced their first wave of acts for 2019.

Indie supergroup Gently Tender (composed of members of Palma Violets, The Big Moon and a man named Adam), the mighty Madonnatron, Our Girl, The Mentrual Cramps, Flamingods, Big Lad, Penelope Isles, The Keep Cats, Rozi Plain, Tiger Mendoza, and Aldworth Philharmonic Orchestra will all take to the stage on 27th April at multiple venues across Reading.

The annual one day event raises funds for local learning disability charity Mencap Reading and has raised nearly £60,000 since its inception in 2013. Super Early Bird tickets are now on sale, so for only £20 (TWENTY POUNDS) you get to support a charity and go see lots of lovely alternative acts.

Festival organiser Dave Maul said, “Are You Listening? Festival has grown from a newborn music baby to being on the verge of celebrating its Seventh Birthday. We wish to continue on the foundations we have built and continue to strive to improve the festival experience for artists and punters alike whilst still maintaining our commitment to our charity partner Reading Mencap. We are excited to see how year number Seven will unfold and we hope you will be part of it.”

Previous years have hosted performances from Idles, Ezra Furman, The Big Moon, Sundara Karma, Shame, Anna Meredith and many other alternative stars.
