Bushstock 2019 shaping up to be a another incredible year
Bushstock 2019 is set to be another incredible instalment in the already inimitable festival.
Bushstock is back for its ninth year and is already shaping up to be an incredible display of new talent. Put on by Communion Presents, in previous years it has featured Bastille, Hozier, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Jack Garratt, Bear’s Den, Amber Run, Peace, The Amazon’s and a huge host of other incredible acts, across a selection of intimate venues, including Bush Hall and St Stephen’s Church; not to mention the location of Albertine Wine Bar, where huge acts play acoustic sets in front of a tiny crowd.
This year’s line-up is already shaping up to be as good as — if not better than — previous years, and that’s with only five artists announced. Headlining one of the stages on Saturday 15th June is Novo Amor, a Welsh singer with an incredible voice; hopefully he’s allowed to take advantage of the wonderful acoustics in the Church!
Joining him are Apre, currently set to support Sea Girls on their UK tour in February/ March. Sea Girls themselves are Bushstock alumni, playing in Defector’s Weld last year. Alongside Apre are MarthaGunn, a Communion favourite who last played Bushstock in 2016, opening Defector’s Weld. Rounding up the announcement are Olivia, who has recently released the beautiful ‘Reason to Stay’, which has currently garnered her over 6,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, and Denmark’s Winnie Raeder, who most recently played at Communion’s clubnight at Notting Hill Arts Centre.
Only five acts announced and we’re already excited!
