Ireland seems to a be a breeding ground for fresh new musical talent these days. Next to break through is Dublin band Odd Morris, who have their first London headline show this November and just dropped new single ‘Lilac Leaves’.

Where is the best place to get a pint and see a decent band in Dublin?
There's a few spots but the best chats and pints go hand in hand at Grogan's. And we've been lucky to catch a lot of our favourite bands playing in The Workmans Club when they pass through Ireland.

Your new track ‘Lilac Leaves’ is out now, can you tell us what the track is about?
Acknowledging forgiveness within a familial relationship.

How would describe your band to someone in one sentence?
Well worth listening to.

There is a number of band coming out of Ireland’s capital at the moment, Fontaines DC, The Murder Capital, Just Mustard, and of course yourselves. Why do you think this is happening? Is there any more bands from this scene we should be listening to?
There's a real DIY graft going on in Ireland at the moment. Everyone is working so hard on their art it's unbelievably exciting and inspiring. If you look at my most recently listened to artists on Spotify, the first five or six will probably be from Ireland you know. I don't know what it is though, right place right time, or that our generation has lived through something that instilled in us to pursue something more with our lives. And yea loads, too many to mention but check out The Wha and His Father's Voice. We're also loving The Mary Wallopers and electronic artist Qwasi.

How does your creative process work as a band?
What works for us is melody precedes words. We'll almost finish a song in it's entirety before lyrics have been written. I just find it a lot easier to know what to write about if I have a melody there to inform me. Phrasing and intonation will feel more natural that way, as opposed to bending a word to fit just because it was written beforehand. But yea we write all of our songs together in our rehearsal room, it's a four-way writing process which we seem to be comfortable with, it's nice.

On the 7th November, you have your first London debut show, what can we expect from it?
Who knows. We've a lot of new material for this tour anyway so we're buzzing to play it all.
