South Shields multi-instrumentalist Sonny has just released his fantastic acoustic EP ‘Beech Road’, which has him showing off his powerful soulful voice to the max. Sonny hails from the wonderful area of Newcastle, and he gave us a brief tour of some of his favorite parts of the city.

Quayside views -
“I’d describe the quayside as ‘gods little acre’. Love walking round the quayside looking at the views. You don’t realise how nice it is until you travel lots and come back, and seeing the view over Tyne bridge when you come home after being away is the best.”

Baltic -
“It’s free and you get the best views of the city from the viewing box!”

Steps down to Quayside -
“I’ve always walked down the stairs to get to the Quayside, and remember walking down them to get to my gigs.”

Waiting Rooms / Tiger Hornsby -
These places bring back good memories of when I used to play cover gigs a few years back

Greggs -
“I’ve always loved a Greggs sausage roll’. It started in Newcastle and we have the most in the country.”
