Download Festival Makes First Line Up Announcement

How fitting for Download Festival to make their first 2020 line-up announcement at the start of a terribly rainy week. Considering 2019's festival was an absolute mud bath, here's hoping this is a good omen for a sunny weekend at Donington Park, next year!

Tapping into a similar theme as last year, the leading metal festival in the UK are playing host to the last ever UK show of one of the greatest bands in their field (pardon the terrible pun). Where 2019 was an visceral and emotionally charged farewell to Slayer, next year will see the iconic rockers Kiss take to the main stage and perform, for the last time, what we can only imagine to be one of their most theatrical performances to date.

Joining them as headliners over the weekend - despite not having released any music since 2005 - are System Of A Down who, after releasing a string of European tour dates a few weeks ago, were one of the leading names on the rumour list; and for what will be their seventh time at the festival, Iron Maiden will be blessing us with what has been deemed their 'best setlist ever' as well as a few other gems.

Fresh off the release of a new album, Korn have been announced to play over the weekend, as well as Of Mice and Men, grammy-nominated Daughtry, nu-metallers Disturbed, pirate-metal purveyors Alestorm, Black Veil Brides, The Offspring, and the mighty Gojira.

Download Festival will be held from 12-14 June 2020.
