Track Premiere: Fleur - 'Hype'

Half French and half English, Manchester-based (by way of London) Fleur explores the theme of instant gratification at our fingertips on curious alt-pop single, ‘Hype’.

Fleur steers away from the bluesy upbeat soul of her debut single ‘Growing Pains’ and debuts a more chilling side to her sound on ‘Hype’, seeing her skittish and spooktastic vocal driving a jack-in-the-box sound of frosty electronics and dark, offbeat percussion.

“It’s a reflection on losing oneself through technology, the selfie obsessed generation.” Fleur explains “It’s not criticising though it’s just about being aware of how dependent we become on our devices.”
