This planet needs more warriors, people who use their power and privilege to fight the good fight. Singer-songwriter Zoey Lily teams up with Unicef, WWF and Color For Change as she releases eco-conscious new single ‘The End’ – “a reminder of our responsibility, for the wellbeing of our fellow humans, the environment and the animals we share the planet with.”

As part of the #streamtodonate campaign, Zoey will be donating 100% of the proceeds from streaming and downloads to Unicef, WWF and Color For Change, giving people an opportunity to help, even if they don’t have the means to donate traditionally. This sentiment is a direct reflection of the message she is trying to send with ‘The End’: “what if everyone and everything you’ve ever known would end tonight? Would you pay the price to make it right?” To a minimalist backdrop of subdued piano lines, Zoey’s crisp vocals own the stage. Soft-spoken yet powerful, they leave an eerie feeling that lingers in the air as her layered harmonies draw attention to hard hitting lyricism. ‘The End’ is a wake-up call, a call to action that asks us to investigate our thoughts and attitudes. It provokes and inspires by painting a vivid image of what could be.

“I had a lot of time to self-reflect on my role in making this world a better place,” Zoey says about the track. “As a young creative in this society, I feel we all have the responsibility to take action to preserve the earth for future generations and to make this world a place where words like ‘equality’ and ‘justice’ actually mean something. Humankind has come so far in the sciences and technology but, at the same time, we still have not learnt to treat each other respectfully and take care of the environment. I wrote the song about the hypothetical question ‘What if the world and everything living on it ended today, would people start to realise that we need to change now?’”
