Festival News: Kendal Calling Announces Stereophonics, The Streets and Supergrass as Headliners + More Bands Announced
The Lake District’s biggest festival Kendal Calling is back after three years with a huge line-up announcement.
With Christmas around the corner and the start of a cold winter having just emerged, we are focusing on warmer festivities and are getting ready for festival season! Kendal Calling have just announced their headliners and they do not disappoint…
Stereophonics, The Streets, Supergrass and Hacienda Classical will be heading to Lowther Deer Park in the summer of 2022 to blow Kendal’s festival goers’ socks off! And those might not even be the most exciting names on this first announcement, Kendal Calling’s festival fields will soon be filled with guitar bands that have been around for years on end and that will be for the foreseeable, The Wombats, The Kooks, The Vaccines and Sundara Karma to name a few. These renowned artists will be joined by up and comers, if you can still call them that, Tom Grennan, Declan McKenna, Jade Bird, Orla Gartland and Alfie Templeman for starters. On some of the smaller stages, curated by Off Axis, Brighter Sound and Xtra Mile Recordings, we’ll be finding Kid Kapichi, False Advertising, Natalie McCool and The Diving Station, there’s something for everyone!
Kendal Calling is known to be a festival for music-lovers of all ages and multiple genres, their tents will be bouncing with DJ-sets from Joel Corry, Faithless, Andy C, Dick & Dom, Chris Moyles and more to be announced soon. There will be comedy from legend Bill Bailey, Shaparak Khorsandi and Marcus Brigstocke and Tim Burgess is bringing his Twitter Listening Parties to Kendal!
2022’s edition will be Kendal Calling’s long awaited 15th birthday and is looking to bring together music-enthusiasts from all over the country. The Lake District will be bouncing days after the festival has wrapped up, with a line-up that is filled with emerging talents, well-known acts and something to do for all of us looking to come along!
With a vast number of 2020 ticket holders choosing to carry-over their tickets to 2022, a very limited number of weekend tickets are now on sale, with fans encouraged to grab their tickets soon to avoid disappointment.

The festival will take place from the 28th until the 21st of July at Lowther Deer Park, The Lake District
