CloseUp // Track of the Month #10 - Stay Lunar - ‘i like it when you’re around’

New year, same old us! We’re delighted to be back working with our friends at WTHB again, with our first track of the month of 2023 coming from Bristol dream-pop outfit Stay Lunar.

Known for their thought provoking dream pop, the latest cut from the quartet sees a more driving, darker level of indie than we’re used to from Stay Lunar. Released on SAM Records, the Bristol band have clearly levelled up, with intricate production & an explosive ending. Live shows w/ SPINN, Sad Boys Club & Dancing on Tables have seen the band begin to ply their trade nationwide, as 2023 shapes up to be a big year.

Of the track, singer Harry Leigh said: "'I like it when you're around' is essentially a love song for friends, and how having them around during tough times makes everything easier. It can be hard to tell people that you need some company during a difficult period mentally, and this song was written while feeling that."
