Single: Trevor Ransom - 'The lamp kept us warm, but now we walk' (Feat Olivia Dixon)

Trevor Ransom shares ambient single, 'The lamp kept us warm, but now we walk' (feat. Olivia Dixon).

When I first listened to 'The lamp kept us warm, but now we walk' I was engulfed by a sense of loneliness within its intro, which I found extremely intriguing. The track features a loop of recorded cafe noise over  Olivia Dixon's slow burning piano notes and I was struck with the feeling of being alone in a crowded room. I was left day dreaming about who was making those noises, what their lives were like, what they looked like, if they ever felt lonely too.

As the track developed, so did my mood. The chill I felt in the intro left me and I was wrapped up in a new found warmth and stillness. I fell into the beauty found in each note and the spaces in between each piano-led arrangement and movement. I was guided away from the hustle and bustle of every day life into an infinite lightness full of tender promise and possibility.  That's what this track did to me. How about you?
