The Artist Explains: Sebastian Tree - 'Worry' (Video)

Birmingham based singer songwriter Sebastian Tree speaks to us about the distressing visuals that compliment his catchy pop rock single, 'Worry' available now on iTunes

Sebastian Tree Explains:
Where was the video filmed?

We had several locations around the West Midlands for the video . We used an abandoned house in Coventry, a quiet country road for all the running scenes and the shots with the black back drop were filmed in the drummer of ELO’s Garage!! Mr Bev Bevan.

How does the video compliment the song?
I really feel this video helps bring the songs lyrics alive and entices people to listen more closely.

Any behind the scenes stories?
The bath I was lying in was full of freezing cold water! The house we were filming in had no hot water and no running water upstairs…we had to fill the bath and empty the bath with buckets….it took ages and I spent the whole day shivering as I forgot to bring a towel too!! It was lucky we filmed those scenes last! Ha ha!

Tell us about the ideas/ themes/ imagery used?
The lyrics are quite dark so we wanted the video to be gritty. This is why the abandoned house we filmed in worked so well. That's when I came up with the idea of someone dying in the bath and running away from people.

What is the message the video is trying to convey?
The song is about someone being completely uncomfortable in social environments. We dramatised the songs lyrics in the video to get the message across that this character is completely hopeless and has no way out unless he takes his own life. Depressing I know, but I thought we had to make a statement with the video so we could entice a bigger audience on social media as the song is very catchy. It seems to have worked as the single hit the top 10 on iTunes!
