Bryde - 'Less' (Single)

Bryde purges her demons alongside 90s alt rock influence in blistering new single,  ‘Less’.

Over the past year or so, Bryde and her guitar have become two of my favourite sources of sound. From the sadness spilling  from the uncluttered and emotive soundscape of 'Wait', the first track I ever heard of hers off of EP1, to where we are now with the smouldering 90s influenced alt rock that makes up 'Less', there's never a dull moment with Bryde.

'Less' is all searing guitars and dark grungy drum beats, setting a steamy and foreboding tone, but there's nothing quite as engulfing here as Bryde's vocals, oozing a range of textures and emotions.

Bryde's delivery and range often seems as though she could potentially be mistaken for having some sort of personality disorder if this wasn't for creative purposes. Her ability to switch tone and mood on cue, both vocally and within the arrangements of her songs, sees her always giving 100%. as she takes her listener on a blistering rollercoaster ride of the varying degrees of  human emotion, whilst being unashamedly honest about it all.

Bryde's biting vitriolic is often somewhat of an ugly affair, peeling away the layers until we connect so deeply we can understand that we have all been the wounded,  flawed, imperfect or vulnerable creature in the narrative, however far we may have tried to keep it buried within. And we all still could be.
