Live Review: Bad Omens - Boston Music Rooms, London 20/06/2017

Opening the stage on this sweaty, summer Tuesday are homegrown band, Sibling.

Although carrying a different sound to the main act, their soaring riffs and anguish-filled lyrics captivate the early attendees, sending them in to a swaying, toe-tapping frenzy.

The vibe is almost Basement-esque; moody at times and melancholic in others. Their new EP is due out on the 30th of June, I'm definitely excited to check more of their stuff out.



There's no denying that Bad Omens have been working hard to build up the following that have gathered here tonight; the crowd is buzzing as each member strolls on stage and the band burst in to opening track Reprise (The Sound of the End). Other stand out songs include Malice - which is delivered with such passion and force, that even in this tiny venue on a hot evening, the majority of the crowd manage to engage in the circle pit that's opened up centre front.

The devoted attendees have no hesitation when The Worst In Me kicks in either; arms are thrown in the air and every face is singing the catchy lyrics at full volume - leaving a lasting smile on frontman and founder of the band, Noah Sebastian. With a performance like tonight, it's easy to see how they have successfully completed tours with the likes of Asking Alexandria, Born Of Osiris, Veil Of Maya, Upon A Burning Body, Attilla and New Years Day - Bad Omens are definitely one to watch.
