Live Review: Machine Gun Kelly - 02 Academy, Bristol 30/09/2017

From start to finish, Cleveland’s Machine Gun Kelly brought a short run of 8 UK dates amongst the 27 tour. Being the last night of tour and promises of something special from the man himself, fans waited in anticipation for him to grace the stage. Kicking off the night with ‘The Gunner’, running through tracks and a mash up of his own ‘At My Best’ and ‘Kiss The Sky’, leading into a tribute to Chester Bennington with a cover of Numb. Throwing the surprise in early, James Arthur jumped onto stage to perform ‘Go For Broke’ alongside Machine Gun Kelly, the crowd singing along to every word in accompaniment. The academy sized venue shaped an intimate affair throughout the evening. A mix of old and new tracks followed, with crowd favourite ‘Let You Go’ bringing a pop punk vibe to the evening. An encore of ‘27’ finished the UK tour off in perfect style.
