Introducing: Hatchie

Hatchie is the creation of Harriette Pilbeam.

To listen to her music, is like stepping into her little world, as she turns the central focus on her music inwards, creating a backing track to her daydreams. New single 'Sure', was written when the melody randomly popped into Pilbeam's head.

“I wrote "Sure" about people I know falling in and out of the same relationship issues as we grew out of our teens into early adulthood” she explains. “When I initially wrote it, it was about a couple that decided to give it "one more shot" over and over again because they couldn't bare to be apart. When I think about all the lyrics now I realise that it could be interpreted in a number of different ways.”

'Sure' continues on the story that she started to tell with gem 'Try', which was a huge success in her home country of Australia. This new single lays down the path for what is going to be a busy 2018 for Hatchie, which currently includes shows at SXSW this March.
