Single Review: Me and The Moon - 'It's Alright'

Me and The Moon are back with their new single ‘It’s Alright’ following their previous release ‘Standing Still’.

The trio’s single has been released on DIY indie label My Little Empire Records; the band are clearly sticking close to their indie roots.  Having only been around for three years, the united talent of this band may come as a surprise to the listener. The vocals, guitar and drums work seamlessly together to create a catchy and uplifting song.

The new single is boasting a gorgeously playful indie pop sound that shows the influences the band have gained from supporting the likes of Marsicans and Flyte. Whilst the track consists of punchy drums, staccato guitar lines and a chorus that erupts with a wave of synths, the vocals are deeply emotive.

'It's Alright' refers to the theme of documenting a loved one’s internal struggle; it is a song about being there for something and the importance of being there even if you do not have the right thing to say. Me and The Moon are certainly ones to watch this year as they head out supporting Annabel Allum and Jerry Williams and make another step towards being a rising talent. ‘Its Alright’ is out now.
