Listen: Hilary Woods - 'Inhaler'

Dublin based artist Hilary Woods announced this week that she has signed to Sacred Bones Records, and will be releasing her debut album 'Colt' via them on the 8th June. Along with the news, she has released her first single from the album, 'Inhaler', along with the video that is online now.

After putting out two EPs, that got a great response, Woods spent most of 2017 writing and recording in an abandoned flat she was living in. Perfecting her sound and craft with layers of piano and synths on an eight-track. These songs led to her debut album 'Colt'. It sits there beautifully lost between acoustic and electronic, drifting between the two worlds.

Coming from Northside in Dublin, Hilary Woods grew up in an artistic household, she studied film and literature while spending her time dropping in and out of art school. She would record music in any free space she could find around the city, and you can get that from her music. It is minimal while also creating a lot of space as your listen to it, like as if she is taking you into her own personal, private world.

'Inhaler' is out now, and her album 'Colt' is out via Sacred Bones Records on the 8th June 2018
