EP Review: Fuzzy Sun - 'Want Love'

Indie pop band Fuzzy Sun released their debut album EP 'Want Love' which is a beautiful fusion of synth pop & psychedelia. The five piece from Stockport look to follow in the footsteps of fellow Stockport counterparts Blossoms.

Blossoms did in fact produce Fuzzy Sun's debut EP & release it on their own label called 'Very Clever Records'. Straight away you can see how the production by Blossoms influences the sound of Fuzzy Sun, really fun & 80's inspired pop with some very sweet melodies. The EP starts with the single 'Want Love' which is very electronic & has some great disco vibes which really sets the theme of the EP. 'Want Love' is the lead single of the EP & you can see why because it's very upbeat and really shows off the unique sound that Fuzzy Sun have.

The second song off the EP is 'Sad' which is laid back with a more Mac DeMarco feel to the song. 'Sad' is a really good song because it shows a softer & harmonious side to Fuzzy Sun which is quite beautiful, the vocals by Kyle Ross are also incredibly strong. The next song is 'After All This Time' which is similar to 'Want Love' but the synth is a lot stronger & the rhythm is still very much fluent.

The Last song from the EP is a song called 'Come Take A Bite' which a brilliant conclusion to this great debut EP. Although this song may get overlooked by more upbeat & fun songs like 'Want Love' it is still a really cool song which would sound amazing live. Overall a class debut EP by Fuzzy Sun, 'Want Love' is an EP which is making us wanting more music by this wonderful new band.
